Event Intelligence Group is providing surveillance services to the Rose Parade for the second year. In addition to covering the 5.5 mile parade route EIG is deploying and stand-alone system to monitor the Post Parade area, where attendees are able to see the floats up close, during the weekend after the parade.
City of Pasadena has requested assistance from the Department of Homeland Security for securing the event this year. In a first-its-kind relationship between public and private entities; Department of Homeland Security, City of Pasadena Police Department, Airship Video Management Systems and Event Intelligence Group have integrated all available city cameras along with a temporary deployment by DHS and EIG’s temporaty deployment along the parade route. All cameras along the 5.5 mile route will be available for monitoring at several different locations in Pasadena, including the Event Operations Center, DHS mobile command center, Pasadena Police Department Command Center as well as other locations and mobile devices.
